Tulsa Family Portrait Session Tips
Tulsa Family Portrait Session Tips
Wall Portrait Planning: We are a custom wall portrait studio. Our goal is to create a statement piece for your home. During your Design Consultation, the owner Rebecca will talk with you about what will be the best options for capturing your session. She will also show you the many different ways you can use the images in your home from individual wall portraits to completely custom wall groupings. Then together, you will decide what works best for your style and home.
Tulsa Family Portraits Session Tips Clothing: The daunting task of… wait for it… clothing. Choosing outfit options for the whole family can be overwhelming. Please bring several outfit options to your Design Consultation and Rebecca will help you pick what will photograph best. We suggest coordinating outfits, but not matchy-matchy. Tie in colors with a fun scarf, headband or colored tights.
Here at Artworks Tulsa Photography, we know that no two seniors are the same! We don’t want your portraits to be cookie cutter. Fill us in on your hobbies and interests; we’ll suggest locations & ideas that we think fit you best! To truly provide you with a hands-on custom experience, we only schedule 12 senior sessions per year.
We recommend newborn photos be in the first 8 days of baby’s arrival. The goal is for the baby to sleep through the session so if you’re seeing a pattern yet in sleeping schedule we try to make that work for us when scheduling the appointment time. If there is an important stuffed animal or a blanket made by Grandma that you’d like to include in this shoot, bring them along. Clothing however is most of the time too large for newborn and the majority of the shoot will be naked or swaddled. We provide simple swaddles and props because we want the portraits to be all about your child!
For the sitting session, usually 6-7 months, we want to make sure they’re sitting very well on their own and not teeter-tottering around.
These sessions are typically close to 1 year and they can stand well on their own.
You’re expecting a new arrival and hopefully are still feeling great! We recommend your session take place between 28-36 weeks. We want you to be feeling good, and obviously look pregnant. Toward to end of your pregnancy you may be swelling more and feeling overall ready to get to the delivery, we at Artworks Tulsa Photography would suggest scheduling your session before you get to this point.
You’ve decided on the girl you want to spend the rest of you life with! We want to capture that special moment for you both. Contact us with your plans – or if you’re not quite sure what to do we can help you map it out!
After your images have been processed and are ready to view, we will schedule a time for you to come to our studio for your ordering session. Ordering sessions are an important step in the photography process. Have you ever received a cd of images and they sit collecting dust and you still haven’t printed anything for your walls like you planned?
During the ordering session you will experience your images in a slideshow set to music on our projector screen. We will hold your hand through this process and help you to make informed decisions on what you choose to display in your home!
We want your ordering session to be a relaxing experience for you. Please allow one hour in your schedule, as we don’t want you to feel rushed to make decisions. To help you in this process try to plan ahead for wall space in your home. We offer several options in framing as well as gallery wrap canvases. You’re welcome to snap some photos of your walls at home to bring with you that we can then load into our software, so you can easily visualize options directly on your own walls.
It’s important to bring along the decision makers and come ready to make decisions. Because we know this is an investment, we want you to be completely happy with what you walk away with; we offer payment plans of 3 payments. Call us now to learn more about Tulsa Family Portrait Session Tips.
