The Best Gift of All: Newborn Babies and Their First PhotosDecember 21, 2010 by Artworks Tulsa Photography | Newborn
Christmas is a very special time of the year. For such a special season it’s only proper that a very special post be featured on our Blog this week. And, since there’s a lot of chatter about pretty presents, what better a gift to receive than a brand new addition to the family?
And the super special part of today’s post (aside from the specialty of babies)? We’re featuring some beautiful photographs of the awesome professional make-up artist, Ashlee Bivins, of AB Makeup, and her new baby girl, Jaylee.
Ashlee Bivins, owner of AB Makeup, is so much fun to have in our office with us. AB Makeup is located in our office space (super convenient for our brides looking for professional makeup artistry), and you can find more information about Ashlee, her amazing talents, and her company, at her website here. Ashlee specializes in airbrush and works one-on-one with each client, making sure they receive the exact look they’re wanting. What can we say? She’s simply awesome!
Ashlee, and her husband Jay, recently received the best gift of all– a precious baby girl, Jaylee, making brother Braydin a big brother now! During Ashlee’s pregnancy we scheduled a Mommy-Prego photo session, as well as a family photo session, with little Jaylee still just a bun in the oven. What a ton of fun!!
Once little Jaylee arrived we took some photographs of her at just 11 hours old! Absolutely memorable photos! And again at just 8 days old– a perfect age for those classic infant shots many Mommies and Daddies are wanting.
Interested in having your newborn photographed? We have various pregnancy and baby portrait packages (contact us or click here for more info). If you’re looking for true infant photos, however, be sure to take into account the following tips:
Photographing Your Infant
It is very important that newborn sessions be scheduled within the first 12 days of your baby being born. Once they’re 2 weeks old they begin to wiggle around more often and stiffen their backs, making it much more difficult to get them curled up and posed just right. We want you and your new baby relaxed and easy to photograph. In a comfortable, warm, and peaceful environment, we photograph your new bundle and create those priceless photos for you and your family.
Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Thank you for following our Blog.
